Dr. Sherri Li grew up in Huntsville, Alabama where she attended Virgil I Grissom High School. She graduated on the Dean's List at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY in 1998, receiving Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Biology and Economics. Dr. Li then finished her medical degree at the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA in 2002. While at Tulane, she volunteered in several community service projects with the American Heart Association. Dr. Li completed her internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in 2006. Dr. Li is a Junior Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the Southern Medical Association. She is married and the proud mother of an adorable son and a precious baby girl.

Frank W. Ling, M.D. grew up in Evanston, Illinois and is a graduate of Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana. He graduated from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas, and subsequently served an internship in Wilmington, Delaware, and residency at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He remained on faculty, serving in various roles including Student Clerkship Director, Asst. Dean for Student Affairs, Residency Director, and Director of Gynecology. He was the Chairman of the Department from 1994 through 2003.

Dr. Ling is a partner in Women's Health Specialists, a private obstetrics and gynecology practice in Germantown, Tennessee, a suburb of Memphis. He is the Director for the Center for Pelvic Pain Management, which is one of five Centers of Excellence within Women's Health Specialists.

His past positions held include: President of the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics, President of the Tennessee Ob/Gyn Society, Chairman of the Tennessee Section of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Chair of the Education Committee for the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Chair of the Liaison Committee for the Council of University Chairs of Ob/Gyn.

Dr. Ling has been an Oral examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1989 and is currently serving a 4-year term as its President. He was a member of the Residency Review Committee for Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is Past-President of the APGO Medical Education Foundation.

His publication credits include 36 books edited, over 145 articles and 130 abstracts published, 50 book chapters, and 13 audio/video productions.

In addition, Dr. Ling has been cited annually as one of the "Best Doctors in America" as published by Woodward and White, one of "America's Top Doctors" by Castle Connolly Medical, and was named one of the "Top 401 Doctors for Women" in the United States by Good Housekeeping. Local honors include the "Good Guy" award in the field of health care for women awarded by the Memphis Women's Political Caucus and being listed as one of the top physicians in Memphis by Memphis Magazine.

Dr. Ling's clinical interests, beyond student and resident education, include pelvic pain, vulvar vestibulitis, and primary care of women.

Thomas Stovall, MD, MBA was born in Nashville, Tennessee After graduating in 1979 from David Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, Dr. Stovall was married and moved to Memphis where he attended the University of Tennessee, Memphis. He obtained his Medical Degree in 1983. Dr. Stovall then completed an Internship and Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Pelvic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. Dr. Stovall was on the faculty of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Tennessee, Memphis from 1987-1992. In October, 1992, Dr. Stovall was recruited to Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wake Forest University where he held the position of Head of Gynecology from 1992-1997. During his tenure there, Dr. Stovall completed his MBA degree at the Babcock School of Management of Wake Forest University. After completing this degree, Dr. Stovall was recruited back to the University of Tennessee to become Professor and Vice-Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Stovall is currently a Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. He has previously served as Professor and Vice-Chair of OB/GYN at the University of Tennessee, Memphis. Dr. Stovall has also served as the Executive Director of the Center for Women's Health Improvement, an institute whose mission is to improve the health status of women in the State of Tennessee. Under his direction, the institute implemented a number of innovative and exciting programs. He is currently Clinical Professor, OB/GYN at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Stovall is Past President of the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons.

Dr. Stovall is listed as one of Good Housekeeping magazine's 400 Best Doctors for Women, and was named as one of Memphis' top doctors by Memphis Magazine. He has also been named as one of the "Top Physicians" in Obstetrics and Gynecology by Consumers' Research Council of America and was selected by his peers in Best Doctors in America for the last several years. Dr. Stovall is an experienced business strategist and clinician/academician having published over 95 journal articles, six books and has lectured throughout the United States.

Dr. Margaret Z. Summitt received her undergraduate degree from Bloomsburg State University, Bloomsburg, PA, and her medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in June 1986. She received a Master of Science Degree in Human Genetics from Sarah Lawrence College, Bronxville, NY. She has a wealth of clinical, research and teaching experience in the area of human genetics. Her postgraduate training includes residency training in general surgery at the University of California, Irvine and the University of Tennessee, Memphis. Dr. Summitt completed her ob/gyn residency at the University of Tennessee, Memphis in June 1994. She became board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology in 1997 and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Since completing her training, Dr. Summitt has built a well-established practice covering the entire range of obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Summitt is currently an Instructor at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Summitt is a physician, mother, wife, and educator. She is also actively involved in the community and is a Member of The Junior League of Memphis, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Volunteer Services, and St. Mary's Episcopal School Parents Association. Dr. Robert L. Summitt, Jr. is a 1979 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Rhodes College. He completed medical school at the University of Tennessee, Memphis in 1983 and completed residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Tennessee, Memphis in 1987. Following residency training, Dr. Summitt completed fellowship training in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at the University of California, Irvine from 1987 to 1988. He then returned to Memphis where he joined the faculty of the University of Tennessee Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Summitt achieved the rank of Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and served as Chief of the Section of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. From 1996 to 2004, he also served as the Residency Program Director. He is currently Clinical Professor, OB/GYN at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Summitt's regional tertiary referral practice focuses on care of women with urinary incontinence, genital prolapse, and other disorders of the female urinary tract. In addition, he has focused on treating gynecologic diseases that have typically required hysterectomy, offering alternative therapies to surgery. He has performed research and published over 60 journal articles and book chapters in his chosen field, developing a nationally recognized expertise in Urogynecology and Pelvic Surgery. Dr. Summitt was recognized in Good Housekeeping magazine as one of the top physicians for women in the United States. He is also listed as one of "The Best Doctors in Memphis" by Memphis Magazine. Since 2003, Dr. Summitt has annually been listed as one of the "Top Physicians" in Obstetrics and Gynecology by Consumers' Research Council of America 2003-2007.
