Meet Anna Halford, MD
Education
Dr. Anna Halford is a dedicated OB/GYN whose passion for women’s health is matched by her extensive training and deep roots in the Memphis community. She earned her undergraduate degree in Biology and English from the University of Memphis, graduating magna cum laude, before going on to complete her medical education and master’s degree at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
Experience
Dr. Halford is completing her OB/GYN residency at Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women, a regional referral center for high-risk pregnancies. There, she manages more than 300 births each year—including both planned cesareans and emergency deliveries—and receives advanced subspecialty training in maternal-fetal medicine, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, gynecologic oncology, and urogynecology.

Additional Training
In addition to her work in labor and delivery, Dr. Halford provides ongoing outpatient care for patients dealing with a wide range of gynecological concerns—from chronic pelvic pain to menopause-related changes. She is also gaining extensive surgical experience, including training in robotic and minimally invasive techniques such as SILS and VNOTES.
Outside the Office
Outside of work, Dr. Halford enjoys reading and hanging out with friends and family. She's a big reader, and met her spouse at a bookstore.
Dr. Halford also enjoys being around animals and horseback riding. She's at home on horses, but being on a beach with a book is her happy place.
She loves music, discovering new bands, and relishing in the old ones with her spouse. They love traveling for shows and stalking lineups in the Memphis area.
